4. ✋ TEMPLATE LIMITATIONS
All custom and hyperlinked templates, such as ours, are PDF documents. While they offer unmatched functionality & design, certain reMarkable features are not available in PDF format yet.
reMarkable hasn’t introduced the following features to PDF documents yet:
- handwriting conversion to text
- compatibility with the type folio or typed text
- ability to change background design, as with the native, in-built templates
PDF templates work as standalone files, separate from the native, inbuilt reMarkable 2 planner templates. There is no cross-functionality between the inbuilt templates and our PDF templates.
Please keep these limitations in mind before purchasing any of our templates.

I just converted from a paper planner – Michael Hyatt’s Full Focus Planner – to the reMarkable and was looking for a simple, well designed PDF-equivalent for the monthly, weekly and daily pages. This fits my needs nicely! I did look at some other “templates” – both PDF and true PNG templates (found on Reddit/GitHub), and I could probably have created my own using PowerPoint, Canva or something. But I didn’t have a lot of time and wanted something close that what I was already familiar with. This fit that criteria for me. And having the linked pages within the PDF is great (and not something you can with native/PNG templates). I also like the way the creator deals with extra notes pages – they are provided as a link off the daily page. Well thought through! Onward to scheduling 2024!
